I can't wait for 11:30 Wednesday because then I will no longer be worrying about my Bio 462 exam. And, my Netflix will be here so I can watch Amelie! :) I've never seen it so I'm kind of really excited!

Gilmore premeieres tomorrow, I'm gonna see if I can get David to DVR, and then I can watch it before Project Runway on Wednesday. Although, I'm sure I'll watch tomorrow. So, whatever. I really want to skip aerobics tomorrow, but I have a lot of studying time I can get tomorrow afternoon. So, I'll be fine.

I'm listening to The Smithereens, one of my dad's favorite bands. They sound like a Bill Pontes band. Anyway, its pretty sweet.

I also wanted to show one of my favorite pics from my brother's wedding, which was a month ago now....

I titled it "Brothers and sisters don't shake hands!  Brothers and sisters hug!"

So, Taunton-ness hasn't been too bad so far.  Sunday I saw both of my grandmothers, which was really nice.  Then my parents and I met Geoff at Cheng Du for some yummy Chinese food.

Afterwards I went to Framingham with Geoff.  We smoked a lot of week, ate, drank beers and watched movies.  It was fun times.  Today he took me out to lunch and for a few drinks.  I'm so happy that he's older and has money and a job.

Oh, and this song makes me think.

I'm really excited to go home for the two weeks that I am.  I haven't seen my brother since January.  And after all the drama of the past few weeks, I need a vacation.

Plus, Lynn is in Taunton!  (a doi)

Combination D. E. F.

I really want a milkshake right now.

Anyway, my roommate is moving out right now.  Which, is nice in a way.  I'm looking forward to peace and quiet, and seeing as she has ignored me lately I'm livnig alone minus her stomping around.

Life has been fairly uneventful lately.  This week consisted of me packing a lot of stuff, and cleaning out my desk and shit. Getting stuff ready to be packed away for the week and a half that I am home.

I got "spoken to" at work today.  I felt like Peter in Office Space because I didn't hear the speech once, but three times.  I'm not a moron.  I get it.  I didn't go in yesterday since my sequencing files weren't in, so why would I waste the energy walking to the lab just to say "Hey, I have nothing to do."  Apparently, that is what I was supposed to do.  Also, I'm going to be a good scientist because I have good lab techniques as well as the fact that I'm very independent, but I don't read enough scientific papers.  So I know have to be all "woohoo science."  Just cos I like to partake in the random Cosmo here and there.  You know, I think learning how to achieve your most intense orgasm ever is important.

Anyway...yesterday I had a smug coupled trying to tell me how lonely my lifestyle is.  And how empty he felt when he was single, and now that he is in a couple he feels so complete.  Then proceeds to tell me how he has no sexual relationship at all with his girlfriend cos they were too busy.  Now, I'm no genius, but I feel that if you love someone you can make time to have some kind of a physical relationship with them.  But, sex is more important to some people that it is to others.  Danielle* and I have decided that in life there are two important things: sex and food.  If you can have both everyday, there would be no problem with world issues.  But, whateves.

Anyway, it was a lame conversation.

k, bye :)

So, I started to pack up the stuff that I'm putting in my storage cube for the two weeks that I'm home.  And it got me to thinking about this apartment.  Which is my first apartment.  Granted, the furnace was broken and the oven didn't always work.  But, it was still my first apartment.  Which cost $300/month.  Not too shabby considering.  In any event, a lot has transpired over the past twelve months that I have inhabited this little apartment.  Here are some of the highlights:
~Hooked up with Adam, first weekend.
~Spent summer broken hearted over Adam.
~Got over Adam.
~Hooked up with Nate (creepy dude) when was too intoxicated to properly walk down the street.
~All the bud light nights on the porch with Stolfi, which consisted of yelling to every passer by "Are you going to have sex tonight?"
~Anuj living here.
~James living here, and me kicking his stupid ass out.
~Meeting John.
~Dating John/having sex for the first time.
~Sneaking into parties across the street.
~Peeing on random bushes outside.
~Finding out Geoff was getting married!
~Seeing Billy Joel with my Mama.
~Getting my research/scholarship for research.
~Working for the Raina's.

There's a lot more, but I can't think of anything right now.

I'm just sad to be leaving.  I'm also sad that Danielle and I aren't going to go our separate ways as friends.  Things have gotten excessively weird with her, and it makes me sad.  She has meant so much to me over the past 3 years.  I mean, I know she cares for me and me her.  But, other than living together, we have little in common.  Which, is too bad, really.  Plus, if she doesn't live with me I can't meet her friends and date all the guys she knows.

I am really looking forward to living in the house that I have for next year.  Another year, with 4 new girls, that will have something totally different for me to experience.

I love Smashley!

01) Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
02) I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. (Or just whatever I feel like asking...probably based on your interests)
03) You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04) You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05) When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Questions from shleyity

1. If you had to have sex every day for the rest of your life with one politician who would it be? Why?
Hmmm...this is hard. Wait, no it's not! Tony Blair. Because he is British, sexy, and in the Labour party.  American politician?  That 18 year old mayor of that city.  He's pretty cute.
2. If you could live anywhere in the world where would you live?
I would live in Florence.  It's my favorite place in the world and I would  be able to speal fluent Italian, which would make me happy.  Or anywhere with Mrs. Ashley Larrimore!
3. What song lyric do you think best describes you?
"She's electric.  She's in a family full of eccentrics.  She's done things I've never expected, and I need more time." ~Oasis
4. If you could make only one world changing scientific discovery what would it be? (feel free to pick something selfish, no need to cure AIDS or something if you really want to make a chemical that makes people fall in love with you).
I geniunely want to make unscented nail polish so students can paint their nails in boring lecures.  Seriously.  Or cure cancer....
5. Now a game I like to play: Mr. Fishel, Gregor, and Mr. Bochman. One of them you have to marry but can never do anything physical with, one you have to have a one night stand with, and the other you have to throw off a bridge. Who gets what and why?  Ok. One night stand with Gregor.  Marry Billy B. and throw Fishface off the bridge.  Cos, how can I throw Billy B. off a bridge?

April 2nd, 2006

This has been such an amazing week/end. I suppose its on account of the weather, its hard to be upset when it's so glorious outside, especially when you live here when you basically don't see the sun for 6 months. In any event.

I spent a lot of time NOT doing my women studies midterm, reading for class, working in the lab, or anything else. I spent a considerable amount of time laying in the Quad with Danielle*. Hanging out with chem Jon, David, Mike and Alex. I'm now one of those girls that has few girl friends. Its nice though, less drama. Anyway. Thursday night I went over John's and hung out with him and his friend Steph. We just kind of chilled and smoked. Which was nice, cos I haven't gotten stoned in awhile. Then John and I went to Wegman's, got some food, and watched *The Devil's Rejects*. It was nice to see him and hang out. I drove him to work the next morning, and that was that. I basically wandered around the lab on Friday in my favorite capris and flip-flops, and did some work with toxic chemicals. That afternoon was gorgeous, so I grabbed some shorts and sneakers to play football with Dani, Alex and Mike on South. Alex and I grabbed some lunch and stalked some b-ball players. And what not. In any event, we ended up going out to Chuck's. It was so nice, I found no reason to not wander around Marshall Street. So we pregamed a little, ended up drinking LI Iced Teas, and a few pitchers. Dani, Alex and I ended up wasted. Not our original intent. But, we got some eats, drank a lot of water, and woke up hangover free yesterday.

Dani and I decided that we needed diner food, so we hit up Denny's. Which was my first Denny's experience. So that was pretty awesome.

Back here to nap before bowling. I went bowling with the College Democrats last night. My friend David is running for president. Alex won the highest score award. I got the lowest score. We ended up just chilling, bowling and had a couple beers. I'm also now officially and College Democrat, except I'm not registered a dem. I'm in the Green party. Either way, I'm liberal. We had so much fun being mildly innappropriate. We were team "Take It Deep". So there you go. After milkshakes and motzi sticks at the boys I came home to pass out.

P&C today for some food. Mini-dance party at Danielle's. And I have 4 pages left of my midterm. Out of 15 I'm doing good. I think now it's time to read some Bio (which I so don't want to do) and make some pasta and veggies for dinner.

All I know is that I'm really looking forward to this summer!
